We at Leicester & Rutland have been tasked with reducing our telecommunication spend, the project was incredibly complex as we first needed to identify a base line for current costs. Leicestershire and Rutland had two suppliers, BT and a least cost router for 30% of our traffic, this caused a great deal of confusion and made comparing any new pricing difficult.
Utility Watch contacted us as part of their introduction to the National Probation Service and offered their services, they came with a good track record and we opted to try the service which delivered well above expectations.
Utility Watch took the time to educate us in the recent changes that effected telecommunication from Ofcom regulations to voice over IP options available to us. The first stage of the process was to analyse our current provides pricing, including lines, calls and maintenance charges. This with minimal input from our staff, the report produced showed all lines currently on site complete with additional services by site, this report alone was invaluable to us, the second part of the report was tendering from 3 companies for our fixed line services.
The Senior Management Board reviewed the Utility Watch reports and made their decision to migrate to one of the suppliers from the report submitted. The transfer has since been managed by Utility Watch with a seamless migration from our incumbent supplier to the new supplier.
In my considered opinion Utility Watch have not only saved us on the bottom line they also saved more than a considerable amount of time and effort. As such I would have no hesitation in recommending their services to anyone considering reviewing their telecom packages.
